Microcrystalline wax is primarily used in industry for rubber protection, packaging coatings, grease thickening, and electronic insulation.
Rubber and Plastics: Prevents chalking, cracking, and blooming on product surfaces; also used as a protective layer for conveyor belts and tire seals.
Packaging and Papermaking: Added to paraffin wax to improve water resistance, moisture resistance, and flexibility; used in coatings for food cartons, paper cups, waxed paper, and similar products.
Greases and Cables: Used as a thickener in instrument and seal greases, as well as in petroleum jelly; also used for impregnating cable insulation paper and sealing batteries.
Textiles and Polishing: Used to wax yarn to improve abrasion resistance; also used in shoe polish, car wax, polishing wax, and other finishing agents.
